Creative Coding

Shortly after starting my first software engineering job, a good friend and colleague introduced me to creative coding and generative art. He showed me some of the amazing things he'd built, and I was immediately sold. That same weekend I started trying to recreate some of his pieces, and soon after tried my hand on something original.

I am by no means "creative" in the traditional sense, so the things I make are usually approximations or recreations of beautiful things I encounter elsewhere. One such thing I keep coming back to are simulations of cloud and bubble chambers. Right on the intersection of my love for programming, interest in particle physics and need for a creative outlet. I've probably built about 10 different simulators by now, and I consider a bubble chamber simulation my personal "Hello world" whenever I want to try a new technology.
